enough to destroy their 'credibility'. i think it's about 95-5 now. their sales job depends completely only blanketing the country with unchallenged repetition.

that's why they work so hard to protect the monopoly. they can't handle any challenge to their lies and certitude - the progressive talkers have common sense and truth on their side. even smaller signals do a lot of good.

that's why it's so crazy for the left to ignore rw radio- it wouldn't take much challenge, protests etc. the boycott has done a lot of good- need more though. getting the unis out of rw radio would send a lot of stations into the red and they'd have to change formats.

is getting very risky for sponsors.

level: call-out and challenge sponsors on their support for the most outrageous comments. But who could stomach listening to that crap on a regular basis to keep track of local topics/comments?!

Perhaps it is time to let the all mighty "market" rule in local media markets.  While I have not had the displeasure to hear McKenna or Sykes here in Western Wisconsin, I, like many others, refuse to listen to the local station that features Right-Wing hate radio.  Hopefully, all who boycott a station have contacted the station with the reasons for their personal boycott.

Local advertisers are certainly missing a major demographic in my Democratic-leaning part of WI..that is something most of them do not know! I am certainly not the only one who would refrain from doing business with a local company that supports Right-Wing hate radio.

most of the radio market has missed the opportunity to speak to progressives. This does not have to be done like it is on right wing radio. It can and is done on the few progressive radio stations there are with more fact, less incendiary language, and
less that will offend listeners to the point of boycott.

Sure, there are some progressive pundits who get themselves in hot water with their comments, but I would suggest they're on a much shorter leash than RW pundits. See Martin Bashir who IMO, should not have been forced to resign. Shame on you Phil Griffith---you should have stood behind your man here, whether you agreed w/his comment or not, but because his comment in context was not unreasonable. And you know it.

But then this is the guy who threw Ed overboard and  then had to swallow some big time humble pie and ask him back.

In short, if our corporations only understand the bottom line, they've all been slow to see there's a good bottom line in speaking to progressives too.

Reminds me of Kate Blanchett's words last night upon winning her Oscar. Americans want to hear and see women in crucial roles, and they'll pay money to do it. Same with Democrats and progressives.

The only think that will cure the pox of RW radio on this country at this point, is more LW radio. Then it's a fair game.
