income despite the fact that the federal law says it can't be counted against the receiver.  What insanity allows the states to thumb their noses at federal law.  It means nothing anymore.  And the minute the red states start their race to the bottom, the poor of this nation begin to have increased suffering.  How do these a-wholes live with themselves and what rock did they crawl out from under?  I'm constantly amazed at the non-working of their minds.

When people in the red states can't get health care (i.e. Florida) they will simply do like the illegals do and cross state lines, thus relieving Florida of the financial responsibility.  As usual, the BLUE states will be forking out more to support the poor people in the "right-to-work-for-less" RED states.  You have to think like a Republican to figure out how they will shift the burden, the blame and the costs to ANYONE else but themselves.

    •  It isn't the non-working minds. (0+ / 0-)

They work their minds very hard coming up with ever more Draconian laws to punish people for daring to be poor -- and living in their state, in this case, Florida.

What is NOT working is their souls.  They can thump their Bibles all they want to pander to their evangelical voters (many of whom are the very same poor people they are targeting, but the poor people are so distracted by the religious rhetoric they haven't noticed!).

How they can ignore the hypocrisy of this is beyond me.

It gives a whole new meaning to "being in denial."
