A hammock? I see. Because, of course, the crap money you get from those programs would lull anybody into a sense of relaxation and repose. And you wouldn't want poor people to ever be able to relax or rest, would you? Poor people are supposed to be working and straining, anxious and sweating, all the time or Santa, I mean God, will be very very angry indeed.

See, this is kind of like when, immediately after the 2008 crash, a reporter went into a NY bar where up-and-coming young brokers and financiers usually drank. He talked to some of them, and one said:  "If those people lost their houses, it's just because they're not as smart as me, that's all."

And it's also like a comment overheard by a USAToday reporter at a rooftop party in DC:  "Can you imagine that there's people out there making do on $80,000/year?"

There are things that these guys should really not say in public. I believe in first amendment rights, but if they keep saying this shit in public, eventually someone's going to blow, possibly to their serious detriment.

    A hammock, for Christ's sakes.

Sure once I was young and impulsive, I wore every conceivable pin. Even went to socialist meetings, learned all the old union hymns. Ah, but I've grown older and wiser. And that's why I'm turning you in.
