    Ooooksaay.

What are Putin's "war aims" here? Lebensraum? Really? SMH.

unlimited access (and room to grow) through the warm water port of Sevastopol through a regime friendly to Russia, you are no student of history.

Stop trying to downplay the severity of what is happening here.   The President of the United States hasn't a fucking clue what to do about this and, apparently, does not think this is a big deal.

It is a big deal.   China and Taiwan are watching this closely.

One of the top wheat producers in the world.   Gets most of its oil and gas from Russia.  If it stops buying from Russia, which it threatened to do, Russia loses a lot of money.   Sevastopol is Russia's main warm water port.  Its navy only gets out to the Atlantic through there.

It's rarely about living room.  Lebensraum is the room you need to fulfill your perceived national destiny.   History teaches us many great lessons, bbb.  It's a shame that we rarely heed them.   I'd hate to see our first black president be remembered for being the Neville Chamberlin of the 21st century.
