If you actually dig into the reports about ICE enforcement actions under Obama, you'll discover that all (and then some) of the increase is coming from people caught trying to cross the border who are sent back, and that the number of actual deportations - people living in the United States who are sent out of the country - has dropped.

And while the drop in actual deportations is a consequence of actions taken by the Obama administration, such as the DREAM through executive order, the increase in border apprehensions is a consequence of the additional border security measures - the fence and cameras and additional agents - deployed on the border by the 2006 border security bills passed by the Republican Congress on their way out the door.

Art is the handmaid of human good.
