    In MA in order to get on the ballot for a statewide office you have to get 15% of the delegates to vote for you at convention.  Any Democrat can attend a caucus and run for delegate, but the uninitiated invariably accuse the process of being of, by, and for insiders and undemocratic.

      I wonder if more states will start using conventions.  

      Seems like these acts should be automatic disqualifications for holding public office.  If a person can't even run for office without a basic degree of honesty, they have no business running for office at all.
