  •  Dear god (0+ / 0-)

it's a government website. It didn't work. And that's after spending half a BILLION on it.

A competent government would have staffers integrated in the development project. They would be running constant testing -- poring over code, testing load, running simulations, etc. This isn't rocket science.

I'm shocked that people are trying to pretend this is no big deal when the data is incontrovertible. We had huge partisan advantages in the polling coming out of the government shutdown, and gave that all up and more because people expect their government to work, and last October and November, it objectively did not.

people are still pissed off about the Federal site (i.e., state sites varied) and avoiding all mention of ACA in droves because of such?

Further, enrollees will never favor Democrats when thinking of their ACA enrollment, even if they turn out to be satisfied with coverage they obtained in their first year of enrollment?

I honestly don't think people are looking at the ACA right now from a webmaster POV.

    •  The VA computers don't work either, nor do the (0+ / 0-)

      IRS computer systems.

It would probably be easier to list the government computer systems which do work, if anyone knows of any outside of the NSA.

Come to think of it, maybe we could cut a deal with the NSA- you can continue to spy on us in exchange for installing computer systems which actually work.
