    promptly and he's been suspended, so how is that not fair treatment of her claim?

    Do you think the civilian world would protect better in this case? Because I know most civilian jurisdictions wouldn't even open a case file about a two year old allegation of groping and kissing.

    But the military has, and if he did it and is convicted then that's a good thing because an officer should be held to a high standard.

    I haven't missed any hearings, I've spent the better part of the last decade prosecuting and defending sexual assault claims in courts-martial...I might know just a teeny tiny bit about things.

    What I do know is that we have the barest bit of information about the allegation, and the logical, reasonable path would be to withhold assumptions either way to give BOTH the accused and the alleged victim "fair treatment."

    That you decide to jump to an assumption of guilt based on very little says a lot more about you than me.
