John Kerry is NOT going to be the candidate either. I know people here like to act like age is completely irrelevant, never mind the massive stress and responsibility of being President of the United States But John Kerry is not significantly younger than Bernie Sanders. He would be two years older than Ronald Reagan when he got sworn in.

And yes, Hillary is TOO OLD too. When are we going to start looking forward? As long as we're fixated on this last generation, well, it's no wonder we never see more progressive policies.

Look, I like a lot of what Bernie Sanders stands for too. But as a presidential candidate, he's a non-starter for a bunch of reasons, starting with his age.

Ed FitzGerald for governor Of Ohio. Women's lives depend on it.

I see no evidence of any of those being affected by their age, nor is age determinitive of one's views.

... when a president turns senile while in office..., as St. Ronnie of RayGun did.

My grandfather was going senile about the same time, so - to me, at least - the signs that St. Ronnie was going senile were patently obvious because I could compare his actions with that of my grandfather.  The blank stares.  The looks of confusion when asked a simple question, changing the subject or telling a stupid joke or reverting to anecdotes from his past when he had no idea what the hell anyone was talking about or asking him about.

The fact that Moronic Media didn't pick up on St. Ronnie's advancing senility baffled me no end.  Still does.

Then there are oldsters clear into their 90s who are sharp as a tack clear up until the moment of death.

So, old age is not necessarily a determining reason to vote or not vote for someone..., until it becomes a problem, as with St. Ronnie of RayGun.

Bernie Sanders' mental functions are perfectly clear and he's not been bought off by corporations or banks or Wall Street.  Those are check marks in a favorable column to vote for him.

mafia. Should be quite a show.

But again, going along with my theory, Hillary will announce fairly early in the time before the primary that she will not be running. Several democratics will feign interest in running and the media will play along - play along with the Kerry campaign to allow Kerry to quickly and decisively knock out his opponents to make him appear the strongest candidate. What the republicans will do is anyone's guess - but my best guess is that indeed they will go along with Rand Paul (especially if Paul can get his Supreme Court hearing on NSA up and running) - and if the SCOTUS rules in his favor... that will bring us back 49/51% in the polls, just as the media would what to happen.

Back on the subject though, Bernie or Elizabeth / or both would get my ass off the couch and to the polls...
