    because you are right. I am not from Baton Rouge but have been stuck in that very quagmire approaching the bridge myself a number of times. I had forgotten about that. But even so only a small percentage of viewers will read it and an even smaller number will figure out what is implied. In any case the numbers are still a drop in the bucket on a statewide basis.

    But if you want to see massively underbuilt infrastructure you need to come to Lafayette-Acadiana (a combined statistical area in excess of 600,000 people) where there are no true freeways at all. The lion's share of infrastructure money in La. still goes north. Instead of extending I49 south where it is urgently needed for hurricane evacuation as well as high regular traffic, the current expansion is under construction north of Shreveport.
