    with me because of what you teach your children and because of your thoughts about changes in this country.

    My kids are young adults and have dual citizenship (NZ) and  family in the EU--true global citizens. They keep abreast of the news and know they have choices. For now, they like what they're doing, enjoy their friends and family. They're not going anywhere unless they decide to travel--belonging to more than one country is simply cool.

    Also because I have a son who has a very naive view of what patriotism and heroism are. I hate to see him so fiercely loyal to symbols and ideas (guess that's typical for his age). Leaving the U.S. would be unthinkable to him--a betrayal of country and all that.
