    Thailand gets the dissolute, corrupt, and possibly psychotic Vajiralongkorn.  If the monarchy served a purely ceremonial function, that might not be such a problem, but . . . well, fill in the blank.

    A shame, because his sister Sirindhorn is adored by simply everyone; she's gracious, hard-working, and appears to have about as much of a social conscience as you can expect of someone with royal pedigree.  But even though her father declared her capable of inheriting the throne, Vajiralongkorn is still first in line, and as we know from Wikileaks, not even the King's Privy Council dares cross him on this one.

    Dogs from the street can have all the desirable qualities that one could want from pet dogs. Most adopted stray dogs are usually humble and exceptionally faithful to their owners as if they are grateful for this kindness. -- H.M. Bhumibol Adulyadej

      given the chance to live there, I'd move in a heartbeat.
