    This does not surprise me, at all.  My mom, Chinese and my dad, American, were married in the early 60s.  One can imagine what they went through (especially my mom) here in the states.  And my sister and I, being called, "half-breeds", etc.  

    But they're both against gay marriage - using the same reasoning people used against their marriage.  

    On the flip side, my grandfather was a business owner in San Francisco.  Owned three.  And believed Republicans were bad for business and Democratic policies were better.  My mom believes that, too.
