When the people stormed the castle and evicted the person they voted for, they became criminals, under their own constitution.
Thanks, there are parts of the left that are just as repugnant as part of the right. Thanks for showing this.
    •  Your so right, they've infiltrated this (0+ / 0-)

      administration.

And thanks for trying to make this personal, when you do that you've proven beyond a doubt that you aren't here for adult conversation.

If your "repugnant" claims are to hold any legitimacy, remind us of this when those militia idiots throughout the country decide to do the same thing here.  Let's see your morality or hypocrisy then.

Was President Viktor Yanukovych not their duly elected representative in elections monitored by the UN?  Yep.

Did he not agree to new elections in May prior to them storming the castle? Yep.

Does not their constitution make what they did, illegal?
Yep.  See Title II, Section 34.

The "peaceful" protesters initiated an armed coup.  One that our gov't fostered and pushed for over 20 yrs.

So, we on the "left" only support the rule of law when it suits us.   Doesn't that bother you at all?

      It does me.

      •  and that's exactly, that's exactly! (0+ / 0-)

For all our talk about Bush or Obama, IT HASN'T HAPPENED. And it will not. In part because we know that the institutions work.
Was President Viktor Yanukovych not their duly elected representative in elections monitored by the UN?  Yep.
You've heard about the constitution change?
One that our gov't fostered and pushed for over 20 yrs.
At least some of my taxes to the MIC paid for something good then :).
So, we on the "left" only support the rule of law when it suits us.
The law by itself is meaningless. The rule of law once made slavery ok. So what?

        Look, this is pointless.

        What can I say.

Moses was walking around in the desert for 40 years. It's only been 20 in the FSU. I guess, another 20. But there's hope.

        •  Are you actually paying attention to what you're (0+ / 0-)

          saying?

we know that the institutions work.
          Theirs didn't?

But how was it that they changed their constitution again?

Did it allow for them to storm the castle and push their duly elected representative into hiding?

I will strongly disagree that any money spent on our MIC is good when its goal is to install puppet regimes that our corporate overlords will then be able to use to rape and pillage with impunity.

The people of the Ukraine don't know what they've done.  Traded one tyrant for another.

          As for this:

The law by itself is meaningless. The rule of law once made slavery ok. So what?
Red-herrings aren't honest discussion.  This isn't about black slavery in America.  This is about an economic occupation of the Ukraine that will last for centuries.  With the people of the Ukraine being left worst off than they were.

You know what truly disgusts me?  People that believe America was divinely anointed to "bring democracy" to the world.

          It's all propaganda.

And the law means nothing unless you say so.

          Got it, wink wink.

          •  oh, I know exactly what I'm saying (0+ / 0-)

(you, however, can't make up your mind whether the vegetable was a duly elected representative or a tyrant)

            Theirs didn't?
Obviously not, if you look at this http://zyalt.livejournal.com/...

            Yanucescu's already pillaged enough.

That link above wasn't good enough for ya? Here's the Chief Prosecutor's house:
