  •  Kids in the military are "strictly controlled"??? (4+ / 0-)

Bwahahahaha! OBVIOUSLY you have never been in the military. Or if you were, you were a barracks rat who never left their room except for duty.

Granted, when in a combat zone, the opportunities for mischief (other than maybe fragging the shit-for-brains 2d louie that's gonna get you in trouble) are limited, but when in a garrison... LOL.

People in the military are adults, and mostly treated as such, once training is over. 18 year olds can drink, party and screw to their hearts' content. And they do.

Just make birth control universally available, teach both genders of teens how to use it, and let them make their mistakes. They will, anyhow. So just help them be prepared.

    •  Well, some of the 'kids' in the military *are* (0+ / 0-)

      strictly controlled.
After all, after an IED shreds one, we sure don't want them running about drinking, partying and screwing!

Oh wait, every one of my men who were injured by an IED or enemy fire weren't really interested in doing any of that, they were more interested in treated and evacuated.

Less seriously, we did have birth control available. Something some idiots here think doesn't exist in colleges or perhaps, outside of the military.

Meanwhile, we have this wonderful, vigorous debate over the validity or invalidity of religion, ignoring the hell out of the fact that a man that is respected by his listeners just gave marching orders to the mentally ill segment of his listeners.
While, he is within his Constitutional rights, barely, to do so, what may happen would still be tragic.
In the past, such speech was still protected, but those endorsing such speech by providing the opportunity, be it a political party paying to publish said speech, a radio station airing an interview or program, etc would limit objectionable content. Calling for the deaths of US citizens was most certainly considered beyond objectionable.
      Today, divisiveness is most common.
After all, if we don't stick together, we'll most certainly be hanging together wearing the chains of the corpocracy this nation has become.

      •  Who in the hell are you talking about? (0+ / 0-)

I hope you weren't talking about me there. Because I'm gonna have a problem with that. And I think that pretty much goes for whomever you might have been talking about. Stop pussyfooting. What and whom are you talking about?
