There are born morons, and people who chose to be morons, out of weakness or immaturity, or perhaps some emotional issues. Functionally the same.

Can't tell you how many times during the height of the rox/sux pie wars I've been told that I'm a hateful meanie for spoiling the good feelings that Obama gave them after years of despair, by throwing cold reality in their eyes.

Well, I'm all for things that make you feel good and inspired, but only if they're based on reality, not fiction (unless it's actual fiction that's making you feel good, which you presumably know IS fiction at the time). Otherwise, when it comes to things that matter, I think that reality trumps inspiration.

You know what would make me feel good, in the political arena? Leaders who do good things for the country, and don't just talk about it and then do the opposite, or do nothing at all, and laugh at you for your credulity.

And yes, he's done good things too, blah blah blah, but we're talking about the not so good things, some of which are REALLY not so good and cannot be masked by the good things--it doesn't work that way.
