    a parable, or at worst a highly exaggerated recounting of a local flood (telephone effect) in which a farmer might have loaded his animals onto a barge or something.

    I also don't know anyone who takes Noah's Ark story as fact. In fact I know more atheists who like to believe all Christians think it is true, than Christians who actually do.

    Almost as bad as that Fox pundit using the surfer in California on food stamps to indict millions of poor on SNAP.

      who take the Noah story as true.

      Those are the people he is complaining about.

      I work with a guy who is quite intelligent.  But a Christian.

      He does not think there is enough evidence for evolution, but he accepts Noah's story as fact.

      And does not see the disconnect.

      Your problem is with your co-religionists, not with those that do not believe.
