    ... and others have called "Little Britain" (Greeks) and "Scotia" (Romans) has been continuously occupied for millenia by a wide variety of peoples, some of whom (e.g. the builders of Newgrange) are unknown.

    It is safe to say Celtic peoples migrated back and forth amongst the isles of that area.  Intermarriage with Vikings, Basques, and even people of North America (as has been theorized) makes claims of pure Irishness on anyone's part kind of silly.
