I am addicted to Spell Check and I type too fast and, I am concerned about the future You should be too.
The GOP is allowed to mispell words, we're not

a long habit of not thinking a thing WRONG, gives it a superficial appearance of being RIGHT, and raises at first a formidable outcry in defense of custom.

Although I'm sorry I didn't see the pre-corrected version.  It must have been a hoot.

polls indicate she will defeat the various GOP candidates at this time.  She is not saying anything.

The Right is attacking her because they think she is their greatest threat.  The Left is attacking her because she is not Elizabeth Warren.

I predict Jeb Bush will be the GOP nominee, and he will be a very tough candidate.  He is moderate (for a repub), calm, intelligent, and very moderate on some issues like immigration and gay rights.  Independents may like him.

We need to support someone who can beat him, not someone who is the most Left.  We cannot afford purity tests.  The Supreme Court is in the balance.

Suicide is never a good political strategy. This has never been more true than at this juncture in history when the far right is making a play to own the Court in order to pursue their agenda of voter suppression, election buying and educational dumbing down in their headlong race toward theocratic and plutocratic rule. One more appointment and God knows what kind of right wing hell we will be leaving to future generations (this only being possible in the lucky event that they don't succeed in rendering the planet uninhabitable for those future generations).

If the Koch Brothers ever come to read DKos I am sure they rejoice to see the number of people who are urging others here to splinter off, withdraw support or at least stay away from the polls come the next election for President. I hope it won't give them the idea to hire minnions to do just exactly that.

I voted for Nader or whomever, essentially throwing away my vote in order to remain "true to my principles."

Eventually I came to understand that we are stuck with a two party system, like it or not, and even if it is portrayed as voting for the lesser of two evils, the bottom line is the lesser of two evils is better than the alternative.

And I also began to realize that it is not just a president we are electing, but the Supreme Court and other less obvious mechanisms of governance.

I can't blame those who vote on their principles: I was one of them.  But we need to show people that morality and ethics are not an all or nothing proposition.

We can elect someone who is pretty good, but not necessarily perfect. In fact, we MUST elect a democrat, imperfect as he or she might be.  History is watching.  Closely.

than simply throwing away your vote. In an election where a plurality takes all it's equivalent to voting for the other side.
