The themes of saving the fatherland from "envy" and "class warfare" are direct quotes from Joseph Goebbels.

I have been chronicling this for years - these extreme nutjobs started using this strategy with Glenn Beck:
    1) Lie about what Hitler said (say Hitler was for "social justice," and MLK wasn't)
    2) Quote Hitler's word as your own ideas.
    3) Claim that your plagiarized Hitler quote is fighting Fascism.

I keep wondering - where is the physical playbook? This is clearly the Kochs and their dad's John Birch Society legacy.  Is there an actual playbook using the word "Fascism" to define their goal?

Men are so necessarily mad, that not to be mad would amount to another form of madness. -Pascal

[T]hese are small people who wish they were more. They like to see themselves as fearless resistance fighters, or brave humanitarians like Raoul Wallenberg or Oskar Schindler who placed their own lives at risk to save Jews. They feel the need to portray themselves as tough, swashbuckling champions of right, standing astride the waves of history as they fight back encroaching evil. But they are none of these things. ...

None of [them] are heroes. [They] are people with policy differences who suffer from aching ignorance of history. None of [those] who confidently express [their] contempt or disagreement for the government fear [they] are risking [their] or [their] family’s lives by standing up to power. [They] are poseurs, appropriating incomprehensible suffering of others in a pathetic attempt to make [their] inconsequential squabbling seem important.

Or as I've often called them, the Heroes of Their Own Private Mythology.

Eichenwald is so spot-on here, and so much more eloquent than I could ever hope to be.
