  •  I wonder if there's a way (5+ / 0-)

to hold these people to account in a way that doesn't open up a can of worms and criminalize protected speech.   Every time I think of a way it can be pulled off, I find myself thinking of Rwanda, where the government that took over after the genocide routinely uses strict laws against "divisionism" to silence dissent.  Nobody wants that, even if it could be done.

    •  It sounds like assault - the profs have a (0+ / 0-)

reason to fear for their lives. Others are being urged to "Kill for Christ". If I were threatened like that, I would file 1) a restraining order and 2) a lawsuit for the threatening language that scared me. Not protected speech.

There are too many loony-tunes who think that God wants them to kill (despite the commandment that says don't murder). They feel as long as they are doing God's work, they aren't really murdering anyone.

      Truly scary!!!

    •  it would require changing either (0+ / 0-)

the constitution or the interpretation thereof.  The current standard for incitement is that it must be immediate with no time to reflect.

Personally I do agree that these attempts to incite stochastic terrorism should be illegal.
