  •  Nancy Pelosi said some astonishing things (16+ / 0-)

which I wrote a (traction-less) diary about last night.

“I’ll tell you, you take on the intelligence community, you’re a person of courage, and [Sen. Feinstein's recent complaints--jp] she does not do that lightly. Not without evidence, and when I say evidence, documentation of what it is that she is putting forth.”

Pelosi added that she has always fought for checks and balances on CIA activity and its interactions with Congress: “You don’t fight it without a price because they come after you and they don’t always tell the truth.

I mean, basically, she's saying the Intelligence Community does things to Congress People.

I think this is of true historical importance, and now is the time for us to get told what exactly CIA etc do that constitutes 'coming after you.'

I'll diary her quotes again if that helps push the issue to the fore. We need specifics on this, and we need them now. We either have a Representative Government or we don't, with someone else not elected pulling the strings around here.

Courage to do your Constitutionally-mandated job of Oversight! This is intolerable.

Real fixes, outside the coffin fixes, ain't ever pragmatic says DC Bubble Conventional Wisdoom.

Start with the Trilsteral commission and the council of foreign affairs as a starting point.
      Not everything is CT.

Nobel peace prize winner Barack Obama did not just pick up that 3:00 am phone call, but, as has been noted, he mostly stayed on the phone making war and sending out drones for his entire terms in office.
