I'm about as liberal as they come but I think they generally have a mix of reporters not right wing by a long shot.

since she joined PBS. Ifil has taken a hard turn to the right the last few years, and when she took over as moderator of WW is when it became apparent.
Gwen has become nothing but a tool of the right, one of the reasons I hardly ever even watch the Newshour or WW any more (and I used to watch them almost 100%, since the beginning, going to great lengths to record on VHS even when doing the old "road warrior" thing).
Perhaps she's hooked up with Condi now and they're best buds...

You're on the right track, the bias at PBS and NPR has been designed to be quite subtle most of the time, dating back to the Bush administration's background coup de 'etat of public broadcasting. Fitting to the more upscale, educated audience it has/had.
It also is another indication of the incompetence of the Obama administration in governing. It only took the Bushies a short time to corrupt PBS/NPR, why hasn't the Obama administration even attempted to reverse the damage? Such activity is one of the basic functions of holding power in any system.
