  •  That was my first thought, too. (27+ / 0-)

That was the biggest lie to jump off the page - of course this guy carries health insurance.  If he doesn't he's a bigger idiot than he appears.

    •  Color me an idiot (0+ / 0-)

Neither me or my spouse have health insurance. Oh no's we're irresponsible idiots cause we fucking can't afford to pay the vig required to get some decent affordable access to even the most basic medical 'market'. ACA is nothing to support unless you think that it = Obamacare the Democratic  version of the Heritage  Plan is Democratic and change you can believe in. No way.

Healthcare for profit  is an oxymoron and healthcare insurance as it stands is nothing but extortion. Nice life you had there but you lose you did not 'qualify' you failed the test. You better die quick if you get sick cause your too poor to tango and too rich to get subsidized according to the fucking IRS. That's the agency that gets to tell me how much I make as a self proprietorship business.

So sorry to vent my white privileged view of Obamacare. In all it's glory that's hyped as healthcare reform and affordable  how do people caught in this economy not poor enough for medicaid relief or rich enough to pay the vig for insurance and the disgraceful for profit healthcare industry get some basic medical access and affordable healthcare?

I haven't seen any credible example so far that you are claiming. Have you asked for help from the people who can guide you through the process?  You should have insurance, even if you don't like Obama.

If you bothered to read the law you would know that the Insurance mafia will now be capped at 20% of your premium dollars for their expenses to sell you a policy and offer you benefits. 15% for groups over 50. This is the first step in making them utilities and controlling health care costs.

        I've heard it all before.

      •  Are you being led astray by Repub talking points? (4+ / 0-)

I'm middle class.  I was pleasantly surprised by the prices.  If you haven't, go to healthcare.gov and click on "see plans before I apply".  I have seen stories of insurance companies misleading people and placing them in more expensive plans than they need.  But I have used this site for myself and for friends, none of us qualify for Medicaid, and we all pay $0 to $100 per month.  Is that too much vig for you?  It's better than I was paying before Obamacare.

Of course a single-payer government-run system would be best (i.e., Medicare for all) and cheaper (cut out the middle man), but for now this isn't bad.  Check it out.

If you're just a troll and giving a fantasy story here, well, I feel sorry for you, angry white man.  America is changing for the better and sooner or later, you're going to have to adapt.
