  •  Did Dr. Sacks say this? (none)
"[Homosexuality is] a reversal of the natural order, a corruption of man's
sexuality, and a crime against the rights of females...concerning the
punishment for this abominable practice...should both the active and passive
participants be put to death? While such punishments may seem cruel, they
have been suggested to maintain the purity of the Islamic society and to keep
    it clean of perverted elements."

If Dr. Sacks said something so vile, then yes, he should be banned from City Hall.

Even if this cleric had not made such remarks against gays, the other remarks like "destroy the usurper Jews" are just appalling.

It's nice to support pro-gay legislation. But legislation is not going to do much good for a gay Londoner if he is on the ground, dead, because someone who believes that Allah or Jesus or whoever hates gays decided to stab him to death. Anti-gay violence in London is a serious problem, and yet I'm not supposed to care that the mayor is meeting with someone who says things like the above. Or I'm supposed to say "he's just like Clinton".

At least you have not resorted to the behavior of Pops. Thank you for that.
