Disneyland when I was 17, and would be off to college in the fall. We flew to LA, borrowed my uncle's car and drove to Zion, Bryce, and Grand Canyon, then back to LA and Disneyland. We rode the It's a Small World ride, which has certainly been upgraded since then, but not changed in its fundamental message. I was too old when I finally got to Disneyland, but I enjoyed it anyway. My sister was 13 and my brother only 8. We drove back across the country through Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, and home on the fairly new Interstates to the DC area. It was one of those family "trip of a lifetime" things - a memory to treasure.
