isn't this at least a tiny step in the right direction. What is the mechanism of the Govt getting the info from telco's? FISA, grandjury? I know many will consider it window dressing but how about an admen to the bill that will take all the servers, computers and storage drives to public schools or libraries, something to benefit all citizens.

      all Drewid.

I only know what is in the article, and even that I'm going to have to read again. I'm watching the last season of Dexter with my girlfriend, and trying go keep up with comments in five posts. So am sort of remote. Sorry.

Thanks for commenting. I'm sorry if I seem pessimistic or cynical, I'm just really tired after a  grimly brutal day.

for reasons of the show you mentioned.
        I see oportunity.
Votes to pass the bill paid for with servers for public schools?
        Re-appropriating things properly.
I try to be an optimist, the alternative is unthinkable.

The Administration hopes that tossing us a bone will make the mess go away.
