    Could he have been referring to a flaw in white southerners?

    •  Perhaps, but I think he said they were (0+ / 0-)

      products of their environment, etc., and I don't think he saw that as a flaw, just a fact of life that we would all have to accept.  And it was clear he wasn't going to make any effort to change Southern minds.

      Putting the fun back in dysfunctional.
