    anyone discussing the Universal Basic Income is proposing anything as high as a $20k guaranteed income. On the contrary, the figures that I have seen proposed range from about $2-7,000 dollars a year. That range would be both 1) much more fiscally viable and 2) an amount that would be low enough not to encourage a mass exodus from the labor market.
