    of insurance companies, but I fail to understand why the writer blames the insurers for the price of the office visit, routine lab work and one medication.    In this case, the insurer is the good guy.  

    Granted, insurance reform was a much needed part of the ACA, and more is needed.  However, equally needed is more reform within the medical industry.  A complete overhaul is in order and the current ACA is one baby step in the right direction.

      My main critique is Republicans and insurers taking us back to a place where those obscene rates are common place. They're comfortable with millions of uninsured, thousands dying, and me paying $1000 for blood work that costs around 100 in reality. They want that system back.

      They are in no way the good guy. They are a middleman skimming billions off of the top of our health care system, thus driving costs up for everyone.
