    Your religion is merely a cult.  A "real" religion is a cult with a whole bunch of followers.  ( Actually the religious right believes that a "real" religion is one which believes exactly as they do.)  That is the reason that Mormans are considered a cult by many so-called mainstream Xtians.  simply not enough members. ( Mormons would disagree, since they baptized so many formerly non-believers into their religion posthumously.)

      There are more living Mormons than Jews.  Nobody thinks they're a cult because of their size, posthumous baptisms or no.

        but, even accepting that it is, yes, many Xtians refer to Mormonism as a cult.

            no doubt they consider themselves Christians in the same way that the 9/11 hijackers considered themselves Muslims.

            I didn't say whether I thought they were correct, I simply said that many Christians refer to Mormonism as a cult.

             ( My own view, for what is worth is that Mormonism is no more (or less) of a cult than any other religion...)

        allowed in the Temple, instead of everyone ever baptized and folks who haven't been to an LDS church in 20 years.

        Then their numbers fall pretty hard.
