of the Commander. Used to be a famous Christian singer, but when America turned into Gilead and she was prohibited from working outside the home, well. That didn't turn out so great did it?

and other artists who seem to have been fairly prescient.

One of the most gut-wrenching, unnerving movies I've seen is called "Rain without Thunder."  I saw it back in the late 80's or early 90's.  Subject matter dealt with the consequences of abortion outlawed by the religious right triumphant.  To see it happening piece by piece in the days since is scary.  I've been tempted to watch it again on Netflix, but figure it'll have me fighting either depression or my rising blood pressure. ;0

Besides, I thought I'd already fought and won these battles decades ago!  The fighting for our rights I did lasted long enough for MY daughter to go into perimenopause.  I have no idea... and am totally disheartened.. at what my 1-month-old grandniece is going to find when she comes of age, tho.

My gosh, I'm now a GREAT-grandmother...and am totally heartbroken that we're having to fight these battles all over again.

What on earth is wrong with these people???  No one is trying to steal their faith from them.  But why do they think they get to force their particular version of faith on us???  That's most certainly NOT what Jesus said they get to do.
