was less of a confusing hassle than figuring out what I should do with my insurance at work.  I just turned 65.  I'm still working, but I thought Medicare would kick in this year, at least somewhat.  In stead I'm being offered about the same coverage as last year, but at a 39% price hike.  There are some other plans offered (maybe) but they aren't much cheaper and what exactly they cover is described in a way so obscure I think they're trying to be confusing.
I'm just in the process of looking into options.  I'm going to find out if I can just turn down the insurance at work and go on Medicare, and then buy a supplement.  If I can't do that, maybe I should quit working, just so Medicare becomes my primary?  I could probably go part time and make myself ineligible for the insurance at work, and make Medicare my primary insurance that way.

We're all pretty strange one way or another; some of us just hide it better. "Normal" is a dryer setting.
