paying for 2 health ins. plans is not a good idea.  If you  think
That one plan will pay what the other plan won't.   What will happen is if either company knows you have other coverage they themselves won't pay.  They will always want the other company to pay.   They will drag their feet on every claim and won't pay.
You are better off either not covering each other and each having your own plan or only one of you having a plan and covering the other.

      •  I appreciate your advice. (0+ / 0-)

But as I have explained downthread, it is a matter of insuring that nether one of us goes without coverage, not about how much $$$ we can claw back.

The no co-pay is nice, but prescription coverage is a monster. Imagine what we would have to do if one of us, who has a $3,000 per month prescription cost lost that coverage? I don't even bring home close to $3,000 a month. So what would you have us do?

Sure, I understand what you and many others are saying about paying too much, but we have already been playing the odds.

Could be paying less but because the insurance company won't PAY your claims.  That they will drag their feet and tell the other company to pay.  It happened to me and my daughter. Haven't they asked you to if you are covered by another policy?
