    have moved abroad in their late 20's.  One of these is a direct result of the economy, and she has a work visa in Taiwan.  She was unemployed in the U.S. without unemployment benefits (despite having worked continuously from age 14 until she went back to school overseas at age 26 in 2006) for more than a year here (late 2008-thru 2009).  She works for $25/hr, pays $250/mo rent, spends about $10/week on gasoline for her scooter, pays lower income tax, and has socialized medicine.  Her house here is rented for more than enough to cover her payments, and she is working off the debt incurred here due to our lack of a reasonable safety net.
