the producers of MSNBC think they need these obnoxious people as guests.  I know the conventional wisdom says these confrontations mean ratings and corporate television is all about ratings.

I disagree.  Chris has a niche market.....liberals who like detailed discussions that include FACTS.  I suspect Chris is being pressured to bring on guests like that idiot, embarrassment to all women, Stefano.

Chris is not a bully by nature and to put him in that situation is just stupid.  Chris seem to be, by nature, a decent human being who is kind and tolerant and while I know he is intelligent, I think he is naive to think that if he treats others with respect, he will get back what he gives.
This does not work with obnoxious, greedy, "I want to be famous and I don't care how" sociopaths like Stefano.  I suspect she wants to be the next Coulter.

IMO, the audience who tunes in for Chris already know the facts and are never going to be fooled by a moron.  As well, the "expose them for what they are" crowd who defends giving these people a mic, are missing the fact the we, the viewers, ALREADY KNOW who and what these dolts are.  I suspect the only viewers who tune in for that are the tea party nuts who have gotten an email to "watch Stefano obliterate Hayes" so they can be "in" on the talking points for FOX.

One cannot use the norms for decent behavior to decide who to give airtime on these shows.  Lying, obnoxious rudeness, racism, sexism, is the norm for the right now.  They have no problem telling their lies publicly.  It is a sick media world who feeds the frenzy.   REAL DRAMA television has been replaced with fake reality show in order to destroy actor/writer unions.  REAL NEWS shows are replaced with SICK shows that lie to their viewers.  And debates on television include either lying bullies or slick ones (Ron Christie).

So to Chris I say..DON'T DO IT.  Don't let your greedy corporate bosses convince you that idiot guests make good television.  Honestly I just turned it off as she spoke.
