  •  I am the opposite, when I start doing things (18+ / 0-)

I don't want to do, I do them all at once, make a huge mess and work til I am so exhausted that I drop. But I get it done. I hate it, but I do it.

I have just too much junk and memories carrying around with my life. I think I should stop that. Start with a fresh plate. I just fear I haven't the physical and mental strength anymore. We will see. It has to be done.

    •  Do it 27 things a day for nine days. This is (5+ / 0-)

a feng shui method and it really works. You can remember because 2 plus 7 equals 9.

Start with one corner of your home and throw away 27 things a day until the corner is cleared, then move to the area right next to that and do the same. Move all the way around your home doing one little slice at a time. If you don't get it all done in nine days, wait nine days and start again.

I did this nine times and threw away over 1,000 things.

The rule is that you can throw or give away the things or move something, only if it is a substantive move.

This really works. I have talked friends into doing it and they were thrilled with the result.

      GOOD LUCK!!

I really don't have 1000 things to throw away. But many thanks for idea.

I realize that I keep things that take me time, gasoline and money to get again. And I know somehow I will need those things again. So, I end up greedy guarding my hammer and drills and other tools other people would leave behind. Oh, well, that's me.

And THANKS ! I take LUCK anytime I can get it. :)

do a thousand things. You would be surprised how quickly you can find 1,000 things to throw away, poor or not.
