Yes, but do you believe they are going to do so?

    •  To win an election, I would hope so. (2+ / 0-)

I mean, shit man, what's the point to any of it if they won't fight for that?

I'm used to Democrats not fighting for working people and for a better society and future, or doing so at a pragmatic rate, but I'm not used to them not fighting to win an election.

I mean it's like they are in the tank - getting shitfaced during training camp.

        "To win an election".....

Democrats should fight hard to win elections-- why? just so they get a nice, phat paycheck and a Cadillac health care plan for themselves and their families?

OR, are they supposed to be working for We the People? DOING stuff for We the People?

Why don't you tell me why Democrats fight so hard to win elections and leave the policy and people behind?

I know the realities, and so do you. They are beholden to their sponsors.

But my point is that they should at least be trying to win the election, even if not being a People's Party which it doesn't even look like they have been trying to do.

          •  As I understand it... (0+ / 0-)

and I think it may have been mentioned at some time on DKos, people like the Koch brothers, and Karl Rove, are spending all kinds of money putting out ads saying the Democrats are going to lose this seat, and this state, and they won't do well in the mid-terms.

They do this  HOPING their ads will convince the ignorant or ill-informed electorate that the Republicans are much stronger than they really are, HOPING it will cause people to ignore their common sense, HOPING to get people to believe it's the truth, SO the Democrats and Progressives WILL lose.

See how it works?  They will win if people buy into their bogus ads and get discouraged.  They don't care how they win, and many of these people will do whatever they think is necessary to win - which is why we need to stay focused on getting the message out, confronting their lies and half-truths, and flush them out of the system, as we are doing with Rush Limbaugh.

      •  Alex Sink's half-hearted defense of Obamacare (4+ / 0-)

hurt her, IMHO. The way to win is to say: It might not be perfect but it's better than nothing, which is what you're offering. Health savings accounts, my ass!

    •  We will find people that do (0+ / 0-)

If the current Dems want to sell out and be weak, we'll fund and replace them with ones who aren't. It's a sane, attached-to-reality version of what the Baggers have done to the GOP
