hospitals that have a good reputation were left off of insurance policies by THE INSURANCE COMPANIES, not the hospitals.

Several hospitals in the Pacific Northwest have found themselves left off of the preferred providers list of all but one or two of the available plans.

This includes a two cancer institutes, and a regional childrens hospital. There is also been some problems with policies eliminated hospitals across state lines a problem when the nearest hospital is in another state.

The only way to discover the problems is to try it out and see what will work and what won't . I have insurance for the first time in 10 years because of ACA so I am a fan even though I currently very healthy I have seen what happens when people get sick and end up loosing everything.

I would rather see single payer and the elimination of the insurance companies from this all together.

Nobody every promised that anyone could go anywhere they wanted for medical treatment and pay whatever they wanted.  This is a market based system that has to push costs down over time to survive.  If a hospital demands huge payments, they'll either have to find clients who can pay it on very expensive plans or they'll need to figure out a way to get their costs down.

We paid extra for our plan to access our preferred treatment networks.  I hope that Cardiologist knows how much my wife likes him.
