one of my very favorite places. Every time I get to DC I try to set aside an afternoon to revisit. I never get tired of it.

Lots of photographers here at DKos with a good eye.

We should put out a calendar or something.  ;)

at the very top of page that would be a weekly calendar in which all the groups' series and their time of publishing could be looked up.

One click, one week, 7 days and all the group series at one glance to find. Should be simple. I don't know why I still think the main page has still things I don't need to see and ohters I would like to have available.

Why for example do I need the recent diaries listed at the right hand side, if I have a button on top I could get them with one click? Why do I need the hot tag listing at the right hand side?

This organic chaos on dailykos might be natural and may be healthy, but it's also somewhat annoying sometimes and imo unnecessary. People with less time have too hard a time to find the treasures in the back alleys of this site.

brings back great memories.  Grew up in the DC area and used to go often.  Even had an internship (paid like they all should be) at the Natural History Museum back in the summer of 1977.  Have not been now since sometime in the 1990's.

Looks like thy have done a great job updating displays but I noticed that some have not changed (why change something that works like the giraffe neck or mummy cats).
