...a lot of us have made a huge investment in popcorn...and we now have all of this popcorn lying around waiting to be eaten. If Christie were to resign...what we we do with it all?

    •  Oh, don't worry, The GWB, and Hoboken examles are (5+ / 0-)

just two of what will probably turn out to be hundreds involving how just about every major real estate project in New Jersey and maybe even sometimes New York for he last 100 years have been done.

If we had a complete historical map, this probably could be eventually traced by to the days when organized crime families controlled parts of New Jersey. I don't know if they had managed to work their way up to New York. By some accounts similar problems occurred in Chicago and Boston.

It took the FBI almost 80 years to eliminate graft and corruption in many of the major American cities so that citizens could have confidence that state, local, and federal government are run on the basis of integrity, the common good, and the highest standards of integrity, free from inappropriate interests of graft, extortion, greed, opportunism, or undue influence of special interest lobbyists.

In short, don't throw out any of your popcorn.

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness. ~ J.K. Galbraith
