    you actually asked, I think Democrats should run on the ACA regardless. Changes might need to be made, but there's nothing wrong with acknowledging that. What's wrong, I think, is to hope the beatings will stop and do nothing more. You want to be careful, for a few reasons, with how you attack the Republicans, but I see nothing wrong with aggressively mentioning how millions will probably be left without coverage in the future, because they STILL don't have a comprehensive plan to replace it; how millions are being left without coverage because of a deliberate decision to reject federal funds for Medicaid expansion; and so on. It all happens to be true, and there's very little they can say in response.

    The worst thing that happens is that this doesn't work. If there's a clearer path to success in 2014, I have yet to see it.
