  •  Women who vote GOP these days ... (17+ / 0-)

There's a term for it already and it's called Stockholm syndrome.

And people who are not uber wealthy who vote GOP, they're suffering from Stockholm syndrome too. Or as Maher said, 'useful corporate dummies.'

      Alas, I can't, right?

'And people who are not uber wealthy who vote GOP.'

      Should read:

'And people who are not uber wealthy THAT vote GOP ...'

over health issues, some Obamacare, some MediScare.

It's not an unreasonable tactic for the Republicans.

      •  belief (0+ / 0-)

Some people really believe that the elites hire the best person for the job, and that there a few choices for high level jobs.  That is why quotas, which assumes that if all things are equal the white male will be chosen, are wrong, and why salary caps, which assume that there are many people for a job, are wrong.

Some people believe that one should not have things that one cannot afford, even food and health. Some people that if you are person a sufficient faith, such essentials as food and health will be provided. That lack of basic necessities is equal to the lack of a moral life.

Some people believe that gay people should be stoned to death.  They just lack the faith to actually do, take the consequences imposed by a secular society, and reap their reward from whatever they claim to worship.

We say in 1970's, at the women's conference held in Houston, Tx, that many women hold these beliefs.  That even discussing that a women should be hired, or even allowed to hold property over a man, is scary.  And just so no one thinks this is a Texas thing, Phyllis Schlafly is from St. Louis, Missouri.  So go pick on them if you need a state to ostracize for fighting women rights.

      •  Is this their mantra? because I am not seeing it. (0+ / 0-)
