  •  The big money is the fraud referrals (0+ / 0-)

that get generated with chronic care diseases.

Once those patients get transferred to Medicaid, the new reform laws kick in and -- working in over time -- the patients are protected from medical malpractice and "churning." (Eight doctors a year and a dozen prescriptions, on average.)

By keeping chronic care patients out of Medicaid, they can be preyed on by Managed Care crime syndicates. The bills go into hospital overhead rates and from there to the existing insurance group plans.

A day in hospital for "tests." That's $8,000 typical bill.

    Follow The Money.

Red State governments have set this up to encourage Managed Care corruption. Their laws make it nigh impossible to prosecute the individual frauds.

And as long as the very poor have to go to the Managed Care ER door, they will steal billions of dollars a year. Well, more than a hundred billion dollars a year. More like three hundred billion a year.

Yeah, it's RICO. Just almost impossible to prosecute where it's ER malpractice and there's no federal and controlling reporting standard.

    •  A lot of allegations in your comment (0+ / 0-)

Waterstreet, not clear to me, though, what it is exactly you're saying. On one hand you say once these chronic patients get "transferred" to Medicaid, on the other hand you say "keeping these patients out of Medicaid."

The ACA has the strongest anti-fraud provisions ever promulgated. You may want to fire off an email to Health and Human services if you gave details.

    •  I think you need to make this a diary or two AND (0+ / 0-)

you need to show us some links that support this. I won't lie, knowing what I do about the corruption in the South that wouldn't surprise me, but I need more proof than my own disgust with the status quo.
