stole his money fair and square just like every other capitalist tycoon. He spends our money. We are all the suckers in the capitalist con game, and some of us will not tolerate the outcome, some of us will.

You have the right to expect him to behave differently as a member of your own cultural group, but I do not think, for me, it is fair to expect Mr. Adelson to not be a flamboyant asshole just because he is of any particular group. It is because he is part of the oppressor class that he should receive Nieburhian coercion to part with his wealth, just like all the other members of his class. The fact that he, whatever his cultural group, happens to also aggressively support right wing ideology, including with respect to Israel and the exploitation and disenfranchisement of the Palestinian people, through financial contributions is disgusting as such, but in some ways beside the point. At least he is out of the closet with his contributions of our money to support doing the wrong thing.

But it is the fact that he has the money to begin with that is the crying shame.

Shame on us if we allow him to keep stolen property. The fact that the Democratic Party has a few pet billionaires of its own and would like to have more, and endlessly courts them, does not mean that any of the billionaires should get "get out of jail free" cards in the monopoly game that is our capitalist world. They "own" the houses and the hotels, railroads and utility companies, and money, and they got ownership because they were "totally committed" to the game. It is their game, and I am not willing to wait on their putting the stuff back in the box. Desperate people need that stuff the rich monopolize.

What matters? Justice in the service of love.

searching and got the above video. It seemed interesting and to make the point I wanted to make, so I dropped it into the comment. Then I looked up the group at the end that apparently made the video, which includes a voice I have not identified who probably had nothing to do with the group that made the video either.

Had I looked the group up first, I would not have used the video. The Gandhi quote at the end of the video seemed nice, so I assumed wrongly that they were a loving organization. In fact, it may be the opposite. Moreover, the group seems to be some strange group with connections to a rival janitorial service out of Nova Scotia with a paranoia if not a hatred for Jehovah's Witnesses for some reason!

Please be aware I am not in any way endorsing the group that made that video or its beliefs, whatever they are, and I have nothing against Jehovah's Witnesses and would defend Jehovah's Witnesses' rights as much as those of any other religion! That had nothing to do with my citing to the video, whose speaker I am unable to identify.

Ironically, of course, Hitler hated Jehovah Witnesses:

Jehovah's Witnesses were subjected to intense persecution under the Nazi regime. The Nazis targeted Jehovah's Witnesses because they were unwilling to accept the authority of the state, because of their international connections, and because they were strongly opposed to both war on behalf of a temporal authority and organized government in matters of conscience.

Within months of the Nazi takeover, regional governments, primarily those of Bavaria and Prussia, initiated aggressive steps against Jehovah's Witnesses, breaking up their meetings, ransacking and then occupying their local offices. By April 1, 1935, the Reich and Prussian Minister of the Interior ordered the responsible local officials to dissolve the Watchtower Society.

Do not mean to digress, but I wanted to keep the record clear on this. Anyone can go to my website, including my lengthy piece on "Anger Management" ( and see that hatred has nothing to do with my worldview. Thank you, and I deeply apologize for any confusion or misunderstanding.
