"our intelligence agencies were not being honest and operating outside of our constitutional framework (updated from "out of control) under the Bush-Cheney administration." and noted in updated. Thanks MB.  Also, added little noticed article about Dick Cheney I wrote this weekend.

Thanks for the rec and helping to bring more attention to these under appreciated issues of constitutional governance, congressional oversight, torture, and American violation of the Geneva Conventions, that many seem to prefer not to think about. Those of us who love America must be willing to hold our most precious values in the highest regard and hold ourselves to these highest standards to continuously recreate our value and transmit them to future generations.

This is hard work and even painful at time, but well worth the effort. We should feel proud and understand we honor our founding fathers and mothers and everyone who as fought and died for our country every time we act to preserve and protect our democracy and constitution. It is a positive good thing all Americans should be proud and happy to do, not an annoying leftist compulsion to complain and be negative.

"Seriously, Folks, WTH?" - ("What the Heck? "h/t Joan McCarter, Seriously, Florida. WTF?)
