      The leaves are also pretty furry. My mum grows boldo in her backyard and she still drinks the tea every once in a while (just soak the leaves in hot water for a few minutes) - but as I said, it tastes absolutely horrible.

      I've never seen it used as a cooking ingredient, but it can be done according to the  wikipedia entry on boldo. I learned from the article that the plant produces a tasty fruit (according to wikipedia). I might have to try it out next time I fly to Brazil.
