    this tool. The interconnectedness of the oil and gas industry is difficult to sort out--they often use joint pipelines and refineries. For example, the TAPS pipeline in Alaska consists of the Alyeska Pipeline Service Company, which is a consortium of the oil companies--BP owns the controlling share, ConocoPhilips, ExxonMobil,  Koch,  and Unocal. Koch owns roughly 3%. So is that enough to say we should call out all of these companies for consorting with the Kochs? Or, do we call out specific partnerships? I think (still researching) Koch and Chevron may be sharing a refinery and/or pipeline in Texas, would that be enough? This is where it gets tricky, so until I can firmly cite cases, I'm leaving the gas and oil out. If you have information and citations please drop them on the thread. It's a messy ball of yarn to unravel.
