    mere "semantics".

When anyone twists words into whatever they want them to mean rather than their long-held meanings, they do violence to the public dialog, as well as robbing themselves of credibility. That the media has implanted these misuses do not rob you of agency to use words with their actual meaning. Turning the lack of ease in a bureaucratic process into a "disaster" without casualties is a sad capitulation on your part to such misguided hyperbole. At least Todd and Gibson have the excuse that they're doing what their bosses pay them to do, even if it includes mislabeling their work as journalism.

There is an old saying: If you cannot say what you mean, how can you possibly mean what you say?

People have literally died and will literally die because it wasn't as good nor politically handled as well as it could have been. That's not a disaster?

And please, spare me the internet language cop badge-wielding. You don't get to define language any more than anyone else. If language was fixed in meaning it would never have evolved beyond "ugh".
