  •  I'd be satisfied too with any margin of victory. (7+ / 0-)

But in this case I'm seeing somewhere around 52-47% numbers.
McConnell looks very bad (objectively speaking) and Grimes looks very good.

    •  But he's an incumbent with more money than Midas (5+ / 0-)

with a history of successful brass-knuckles attack campaigns, in a state that's been increasingly hostile to Democrats in Federal races and worried about the "war on coal." I do think that Grimes has the ability to win, but it'll take all of her skill, and I'd be shocked if it's by more than 1-2%. Part of what will tell the tale is whether some of the undecideds break to the winner of the Republican primary after that's over.

I'm making a small donation to her. If we all sent something, it would help give a karate chop to Mitch's wattle. (I cannot help myself. Ordinarily I don't bring looks into the races.)

        •  It would really be good to Grimes.... (0+ / 0-)

if we could get a PAC or some strong donor to fund ads that connect the dots in plain language that:

Shows that KyNect IS ACA IS OBAMACARE!

By then most in KY will be truly enjoying their new health coverage, but polls have shown that many if not most have no idea that their state exchange has anything to do with Obamacare! Yeah, I know that this seems insane but KY could not have done it without downplaying the connections. By fall it might be possible to connect them and show that Repugs want to take that away!

McConnell has been overpromising to conservatives for years. They promise conservatives can have their cake and eat it too, and most importantly, that things can be fixed so undesirable people will get none of the cake, period.

The truth is, cake is not free. And despite the efforts of the current Supreme court, we still live in a democracy, and so everyone has to share the cake, or at least get a tiny piece.
